Class Description

Build your own Viking chair! Great beginners project. Have a cool and portable chair to sit on by the campfire, down by the lake, or just in your backyard. Learn to use small hand tools and optional power tools as you create a fun project that you and your kid can feel good about creating yourself!

Instructor Bio

Alex Roderick was born and raised in Truro cape cod and has lived on Lake Bomoseen for about 10 years. After graduating from the University of Hartford with a BA in Sociology, Alex got into woodworking by helping out the director of a primitive skills school (bush craft) in Oregon make skin on frame kayaks. Alex then completed a two year apprenticeship learning how to build and sail traditional wooden boats at the Apprenticeshop in Rockland Maine. He worked on yachts up and down the N.E. coast, then moved to Vermont and worked for a custom window and door company. Alex has spent the last two years teaching kids snowboarding at Pico/Killington.
