Wooden Spoon Making (Part 1)

Class Description

In this two-part course, you will learn how to carve a spoon from a block of wood. You will be guided through the design and carving process to create your very own wooden spoon.

Please register at least 24 hours in advance by emailing danny@reclaimedvt.org, the sooner the better! Class fee is collected the day of the class. 

Ages 13+

Class cost: $120

Class length: two 4 hour sessions, Dec 14th and 15th 12-4pm

Instructor Bio

Danny Lang (he/him) is the Founder and Executive Director of Reclaimed! He is also a talented woodworker and an all around skilled Maker. 

He moved around from Florida to Georgia, back to Florida then to the Catskills of New York State, where his family hails from. From there, Danny ended up at Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont. He earned a degree in Renewable Energy and Ecological Design with a concentration in Art and Business. After the closing of Green Mountain College, Danny saw the importance of continuing the mission of the GMC REED program, and so “REclaimED” was born. 

Danny now lives in the historic area of East Poultney and teaches people how to make their ideas become reality in a variety of different materials and processes at Reclaimed.
