Class Description
This is an introductory sewing class with guys in mind. We will cover the mechanics of sewing and a few basic stitches that you can use for a variety or purposes, with an emphasis on mending your own clothing.
All are welcome, not just guys, but the goal of this class is to create a space where men and boys feel comfortable exploring what is typically considered “women’s work.” It is empowering to fix our own clothing and give it a new life.
Folks are encouraged to bring an item that they would like to mend, but it is not required. Fabric will be provided for stitching practice.
