Papermaking

Class Description:

This class will demonstrate the fundamental skills required to make your own paper at home. We will process used paper, junk mail, and scraps into small pieces, then into pulp, and then back in to paper. Making paper is a surprisingly simple process that can be accomplished with things you may already have at home.

This class is appropriate for all ages and abilities, though it is recommended that children under 8 and those with additional needs are accompanied by an adult. Ask us about family pricing!

Instructor Bio:

Iana Dobreva (she/her) is a Bulgarian-born artist who specializes in visual storytelling, reclaiming materials, and wearable art. She has a BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University where she studied Set and Costume Design and developed a passion for mask making and puppetry. Iana is a collector of hobbies and creative skills, exploring drawing, painting, sewing, weaving, crochet, printmaking, papermaking, upholstery, and animation.
